Abstract

The existence of large nondipole parameters with strong correlation effects in photoelectron angular distributions was demonstrated to study the importance of correlation in quadrupole channels. The experimental activities were meant to elucidate the fundamental properties of nondipole effects at keV photon energies. The results obtained on the data for chromium showed an increase in the nonodipole parameter effects with increase in energy. The results also confirmed the application of nondipole parameters to all photoionization processes with small initial-state binding energy.
