Using ACT Subscores to Identify At Risk Students in Business Statistics and Principles of Management Courses
© 2015, Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. The American College Test (ACT) is utilized to determine academic success in business core courses at a midlevel state university. Specifically, subscores are compared to subsequent student grades in selected courses. The results indicate that ACT Mathematics and English subscores are a valid predictor of success or failure of business students in statistics and management classes.
